New Technology Deployment Announced at Second Annual Newark Tech Summit
NEWARK, NJ, October 18, 2017 – Vubiq Networks, Inc., the innovation leader in high-speed millimeter wave wireless broadband solutions, today announced that its 10 Gigabit wireless communications link, the HaulPass V10g™, has been deployed in Newark, NJ to provide the region’s fastest wireless Internet. The V10g delivers high-speed, full-duplex, low-latency wireless data connectivity at distances up to 1.8 kilometers (over one mile).
C&K Properties, Newark Community Economic Development Corporation President Aisha Glover, =SPACE Founder Medina, and Chief Information Officer Seth Wainer unveiled the new 10 Gigabit fixed wireless Internet connection, the region’s fastest available, at the recent Newark Tech Summit.
2 Gateway, C&K Properties’ Class A office building in the heart of downtown Newark will be the first building in the city to utilize the HaulPass V10g 10 Gigabit fixed wireless technology, which is offered through Newark Fiber and its network operator, GigXero. Last year, 2 Gateway became the charter member of Newark Fiber, which taps into Newark’s world-class fiber optic infrastructure to offer ultra-fast Internet speeds at a fraction of the cost of similar commercially available fiber connections. The new 10 Gigabit connection provides commercial tenants at 2 Gateway with the ability to purchase affordable access to a wireless connection offering speeds of up to 10 Gigabits per second.
“As the Tech Summit shows, Newark is home to many of the companies that will help to shape the future not just of New Jersey, but the world,” said Kevin Collins, managing director at C&K Properties. “At 2 Gateway, we’ve long employed a philosophy of staying ahead of the curve when it comes to the technological needs of these businesses. Outside of a select few major corporate headquarters, 2 Gateway now offers some of the fastest and most reliable Internet anywhere in the country – and at a cost that is simply unrivaled.”
The Newark Fiber program, which launched last year, is the result of a public-private partnership among fiber carriers, Internet service providers, non-profits, and the city. According to the city, comparable 10 Gigabit fiber optic connections are seldom available to commercial tenants outside of major corporate headquarters; Newark Fiber offers connections to individual businesses on an extraordinarily cost-effective basis.
